UL Lighting Division bolsters Preferred Partner Programme with signing of UK-based LUX-TSI Limited
Wales UK - LUX-TSI, a solid-state lighting product testing laboratory, announced today that has signed a Preferred Partner Agreement with UL (Underwriters Laboratories), a world leader in advancing safety. The signing of the agreement with LUX-TSI expands UL's services for lighting product performance and safety certification and support in UK and Northern Europe.

The agreement with LUX-TSI is expected to reduce the cost and time to market of new product introductions by providing expert advice and local testing facilities focused on energy efficient lighting for the UK and Northern European markets.

UL selects its Preferred Partners (which are independent contractors of UL) based on service offerings that can provide efficient solutions and enhanced certification packages to customers. In addition, UL provides Preferred Partners with further training, dedicated engineering resources and customer service support.
LUX-TSI Limited is a new company offering independent testing services for the LED and lighting industry. Through its approved state-of-the-art testing laboratories, LUX-TSI is offering its customers a range of testing services to international standard. These standards apply to the use of Goniophotometry, Spectroradiometry, Optical Hazard Assessment, Electrical Performance, Energy Efficiency, Endurance Testing and Lumen Maintenance testing to ensure that the performance of next generation solid-state and more traditional light sources and luminaires achieve the required performance levels demanded by ever increasing energy performance targets.
