Even in the digital era, I am one of those people who loves to hand-write lists, reminders, and general notes. I like silly notepads and colorful ink. I’m particularly fond of anything that references cats, Harry Potter, quips about coffee, or “I’d rather be reading” kind of introvert-y stuff {glances longingly at the half-finished copy of Mexican Gothic on the side table}. I’ve told you before, I’m a bit of a nerd and I am not ashamed.
But enough about me. This is about lists, people – to-do lists. Let’s get it together. You will feel so accomplished. I can help you get started. Purple pen is ready.
✔1. Open your September issue of LEDs Magazine.
Subscribers should have received two e-mail alerts that their issue is ready. And this month we opted to add something a little different to the table of contents: a new video that ties together some of the themes in the LED and SSL industry with the featured content in our issue. You’ll only find that in the magazine. Let us know what you think!
✔2. In fact, renew your subscription.
Our incredibly hard-working audience development manager, Debbie Bouley, has been managing several annual projects, and one of them is outreach to renew LEDs Magazine subscriptions. It’s absolutely fine if you can’t find the e-mail in your overflowing inbox. If you want to keep receiving the digital issue alerts, please take the time to visit the form and update your information.
✔3. Register for our virtual event next week.
Remarkably, September has flown by and the virtual event, “Renaissance of light quality: SSL industry swaps focus from efficiency to architecture,” will be taking place on Tuesday, Sept. 29, and Wednesday, Sept. 30. A stellar slate of speakers is preparing to bring new urgency to the industry’s efforts to draw out the full potential of LED-based lighting and move the lighting business forward to new levels of ingenuity in the built environment. Register for the event and immerse yourself into topics from lighting design case studies to the role of OLEDs and quantum dots in architectural SSL to tunable and circadian lighting and more.
✔4. Check in with us.
In last week’s blog, I set up a short, four-question poll on potential options for ensuring safer and healthier workplaces. I would be very grateful if you’d spare about two minutes to answer those quick questions. The results will be used to develop a future blog.
That’s the short list. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
