Market leading lighting sensor technology specialist, Steinel (UK) Ltd, has launched its SensorLight RS LED A1 for LED indoor lighting applications that include corridors, halls, landings, stairwells and bathrooms. This 11W sensor-switched light offers impressive brightness and reach, and turns on without a sound.
The Steinel SensorLight RS LED A1 features an integral LED system and high quality opal glass and aluminium construction, delivering high aesthetic and trendsetting appeal able to harmonise with any interior design.
Comprehensive motion detection
An innovative 360° sensor, which is completely out of view behind the hand-blown opal glass shade, responds to movements and light levels automatically and instantaneously. Once motion has been detected, the system switches the 11W light on and off again after a preselected time ranging from 5 seconds to 15 minutes. In fact, the high frequency (5.8 GHz) system can also detect movement through glass, wood and stud walls, conveniently switching on before a person comes into view. Of course, if this is not desired users can simply reduce the reach setting accordingly.
Controlled electronically, the motion detector's reach is infinitely variable between 3 and 8 metres. Non-human movements, such as lifts, can also be detected.
The integrated Steinel LED technology and intelligent sensor ensure an efficient and long lasting (50,000 hours life expectancy) investment, thus providing more quality of life, more safety and more reductions in energy consumption. Importantly, at 510 lm, the SensorLight RS LED A1 is over 80% brighter than the predecessor model, for the same amount of energy usage.
