Ettore Fico Museum selects Lam32 as partner in bespoke lighting project

Dec. 30, 2014

Lam32, the Marche-based company specialized in the creation and development of bespoke lighting solutions, has been chosen as project partner for the creation and installation of the lighting design project for Museo Ettore Fico in Turin, a dynamic cultural venue with an international appeal. The building that houses MEF is part of a former industrial complex that, during the years, underwent a substantial transformation and is now integrated in an area that is undergoing a particularly intense requalification from an artistic and cultural point of view.

The design focused particularly on the study and enhancement of natural and artificial lighting and on the related modulation systems and management of the best possible lighting for museum fruition. And it is in this particular field that Lam32 was able to express its vocation to be a BESPOKE company at its best, thanks to the creation of lighting fixtures apt for such a challenging project. Through the products of the Marche-based company, the designers were able to improve the aesthetics and the functionality of the museum spaces to the utmost. During this project, a perfect collaboration was born: Lam32 products perform their primary role while not imposing on the eyes of the visitors. On the contrary, they stand out for fitting particularly well and enhancing the minimalistic architecture of the museum as well as the sharp-edged spaces, through suggestive tricks of light created in synergy with the designers. Thanks to the use of a special version of LINE1, a very long and scenographic line of light, adaptable to walls and ceilings, it was possible to highlight some fundamental passageways in order to create particular geometrical effects whilst not subtracting any precious space nor distracting the visitor, who gets to be pleasantly guided by it.
