Girard-Sudron launches LED filament lamps in contemporary and traditional styles

Paris, October 20th, 2014. Over the last few years there have been incredible changes in lighting! The successive legislations have imposed a light in which the consumer has had a great difficulty in using.

Today, Girard-Sudron the oldest French lighting company (1894) situated in Paris, presents a new light bulb: the “LED Filament Lamp” is composed of micro- LED bonded to each other, vertically on a small tower used as support. The result ? An unequaled comfort of light, an elegant light bulb, with a perfect finish which consumes almost nothing (2-8 Watt), does not contain either lead or mercury and answers to European standards.

Philippe Hintzy, the sales manager for France states: the “LED Filament” is declined in a range of 16 light bulbs, from standard forms to the iconic forms of the Girard-Sudron brand: Coup de Vent, torsade, Grand-Siècle etc. The “Filament-LED” will suit all styles of interior design from the most classic to the most contemporary!”.
Guaranteed 2 - 3 years according to each model, Girard-Sudron’s LED Filament Lamp will be available from tomorrow in DIY shops and supermarkets.
The director of the brand, Damien Sudreau adds: “We are proud to be able to provide for everyone, this technological innovation containing all the traditional know-how of Girard-Sudron, who celebrates their 120 first anniversary this year.”
