Lake Forest, CA - Visual Lighting Technologies (VLT), a leader in the manufacture of specification grade LED lighting products, announces the expansion of its manufacturing operations with a move to a new, larger facility near Austin, Texas. The 21,500 sq. ft. location in Cedar Park, Texas will double the company’s manufacturing space and provide needed capacity for the company’s growing catalog of lighting products. In addition to the Central time zone that allows easy coordination with both East and West coast customers, the Texas location adds the benefit of 2-day ground shipping to anywhere in the U.S., door-to-door.
VLT started as a fiber optic lighting company in the year 2000 and began manufacturing LED lighting products in 2008. With the growth of the LED sector, the company added 10,000 square feet of manufacturing space in Foothill Ranch, CA in 2013. The Foothill Ranch space has been quickly outgrown, and the new Texas facility will support the company’s continued growth more efficiently. VLT is committed to fostering a healthy work-life balance for all of its employees, and believes the new location will offer an enhanced quality-of-life for the 40+ employees who will be housed in the Cedar Park facility.
Cedar Park will also be home to a new Southeastern Regional Manager, who will cover VLT sales territories throughout Texas and the Southeast. The Cedar Park location is convenient to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, facilitating frequent and efficient travel to lighting agencies and showrooms located in the region.
Construction of an additional 10,000 sq. ft. building on the same parcel is planned for 2018, bringing total manufacturing space to 30,000+ sq. ft.; additional employees will be hired upon completion of the new building.
