Lynk and CDI are leveraging each other’s strengths to expand the availability of Lynk’s patented AC LED/HV LED (“AC LED technology”) to OEMs across the Americas, including the USA, Canada, Mexico and Brazil. Products are available for immediate delivery from CDI’s website by visiting: https://led.cdiweb.com/lynklabs

According to Lynk, the relationship will allow Lynk to continue expanding its sales reach and deliver a broad range of patent protected, OEM-friendly low-voltage and direct mains AC LED solutions to OEMs across the Americas.

Lynk’s patented AC LED product offering continues to expand and includes AC LED Low Voltage & Direct Connect AC modules in round and linear with single CCT or Warm-On-DimTM (WoDTM), 12Vac WoD Festoons and Tape Light and more.

“The reputation and value added service model of the CDI team is exactly what is required to help Lynk expand availability of its products to a broader OEM lighting market” commented Mike Miskin, Lynk Labs CEO. “AC LED is now an established solution and a very high demand product segment in LED lighting. As we continue to leverage our expertise and growing patent portfolio in lighting, the sales partnership with CDI will help take Lynk’s products into OEMs across the Americas where we have not yet been able to establish a strong sales presence. We expect this to add considerable value to our growth plan.”

AC LED modules from Lynk Labs are now delivering efficacies that compete with DC LED solutions in many cases. They are being designed into high volume lighting applications such as track lighting, down lights, high bay, lamps and more. According to Lynk, more and more OEMs are designing AC LED technology into their products and experiencing increased profits by reducing total costs (including materials, engineering time, return/warranty, freight and more) for their product offerings. “The broad range of benefits the technology offers goes beyond simply reducing or eliminating a large power supply” according to CDI’s top management. “Lynk’s broad IP portfolio and comprehensive product offering in the AC LED space are seen as an exciting opportunity to add to CDI’s LED offering for OEMs. In our view AC LED offers the most competitive solution for high reliability at price points that many lighting applications now need to realize mass market adoption”.
