We are very pleased to welcome Dr Robert Hartley to CoolLED as Field Sales Manager. In addition to territory account management, he will have particular responsibility for identifying and developing sales channels as CoolLED continues to grow its business worldwide.
Robert brings considerable experience in advanced microscopy illumination for our customers. Bob graduated with a 1st class Hons BSc and PhD in cell biology from the University of Glasgow. He then had a successful career in research, mostly in the field of neuroscience, where he contributed to work published in high impact-factor journals. In his research career he made some significant discoveries relating to the control of movement and also neurodegenerative disease. He used high-resolution microscopy techniques in this work, therefore, it was an easy step from academia into a commercial role with the Olympus Microscopy division where he has worked for the last four years. Initially Bob was employed as an imaging specialist and latterly as a high-end microscopy system sales-specialist.
