Aug. 5, 2015
BROOKINGS, S.D. – Fans and athletes participating in aquatics events held at the Ted & Rand Schaal Aquatics Center at University of California Davis (UC Davis) will experience a new competitive and entertaining atmosphere with the installation of a new LED video display from Daktronics (NASDAQ-DAKT) of Brookings, South Dakota. The outdoor display is up and running as of this summer in Davis, California.

“Daktronics is a great partner to have on board with us,” said Matt Blankenheim, assistant athletics director at UC Davis. “They are always extremely professional and willing to go the extra mile to make sure each user group is satisfied with their product.”

The aquatics LED video display features 16 millimeter line spacing and measures approximately 6 feet high by 8.5 feet wide. Live video, instant replays, scores, up-to-the-minute statistics, sponsor advertising, graphics and animations are some of the display’s capabilities that will keep fans informed and entertained.

UC Davis’ display will provide multiple levels of protection from the elements, as well as incorporate excellent image clarity and contrast with wide-angle visibility to reach all fans at the facility.

"We are grateful for the opportunity to work with UC Davis on this video enhancement and timing system upgrade at Schaal Aquatics Center," said Daktronics sales representative Eric Cain. "The new display will add to the outdoor atmosphere and will be a great way to keep fans, sponsors and student-athletes informed and engaged. We will continue to work hard to earn this opportunity and provide quality and service to UC Davis!"

Daktronics LED video and messaging display technology offers a long lifetime with consistent, industry-leading performance and low power consumption, providing value and excitement for years to come.
