Date Announced: 11 Feb 2013 Company Unveils Latest Solid State Lighting that LeadsDemonstrating its expertise in the solid state lighting (SSL) industry, North American lighting leader OSRAM SYLVANIA today unveiled a wide variety of LED innovations at Booth 600 at Strategies in Light taking place February 12 – 14 in Santa Clara, California. For 14 years, Strategies in Light has been dedicated to providing the LED and lighting industry with an unparalleled standard of excellence in quality conference programming. These latest LED luminaires, retrofits, lamps, modules and power supplies demonstrate how OSRAM SYLVANIA offers the full gamut of SSL solutions for today’s business and residential applications. PermaLED™ Low Profile LED Canopy luminaires are environmentally preferable, LED alternatives to traditional high-intensity discharge (HID) luminaires up to 175W, leading to energy savings of up to 74 percent, and have a lamp life of over 70,000 hours (L70). Offered in 42 and 54-watt, the luminaire is 120-277 VAC universal voltage and is extremely low profile. The nominal 2.7" height of these extremely durable luminaires is less obtrusive making them ideal for entry ways, parking garages and stairwells. The luminaires are tested in accordance with IEE62.41-2002 category C providing effective suppression of most transient AC line surges. The driver meets UL1310 and UL48 Class 2 with built-in over temperature protection. These luminaires are ETL listed in the United States and Canada and backed by a 5-year warranty. The SYLVANIA ULTRA LED Lightdisk is an LED downlight kit that creates high quality white light optimized for new construction and retrofit applications. The ULTRA LED Lightdisk is equivalent to up to 100-watt incandescent lamps reducing energy consumption up to 87 percent, is dimmable to 20 percent and provides excellent color rendering (82 CRI) and a color temperature of 3000K. Well suited for healthcare, hospitality, office, property management, residential and retail applications, the optical design directs light output in a 120° beam angle with low glare. Installation can be done quickly and easily in most standard 4", 5" and 6" Insulated Ceiling (IC), Airtight (AT) and non-IC housings. It can also be surface mounted to a standard 4" J-Box or using a specially designed Connector Box, and is available with assorted color retrofit trims, and GU10 and GU socket adaptors. The new SYLVANIA ULTRA HO LED PAR38 15W lamp are replacements for 24W integrated metal halide lamps with medium bases providing 25 percent energy savings, as well as offering exceptional beam performance for precision accent lighting applications without compromising color quality. It’s 25,000 hours rated life (L70) is twice the integrated metal halide average rated life leading to maintenance savings. Assembled in the United States, these lamps are available in a 10° spot and a 25° narrow flood beam spreads and are designed to be indistinguishable from halogen color quality at a CRI of 82-89 with excellent color consistency within a 2-step MacAdam ellipse. They are UL or ETL listed for use in damp locations and are RoHS compliant with no lead or mercury. The lack of UV and IR radiation makes these lamps ideal for highlighting merchandise or artwork as discoloration and fading of materials is minimized. OSRAM 2nd Generation Distributed Array LED modules provide 125-140 lumens per watt with new linear module designs where the LEDs are uniformly spaced in single row and triple row configurations. These thermally independent modules require no additional heat sinking in a luminaire, and multiple boards can be daisy chained to be driven on a single channel. Poke in wire connectors that accept 18AWG wire eliminate the need for wiring harnesses. Optimally paired with OPTOTRONIC® single and multi-channel dimmable contant current power supplies, the system is covered by a 5-year warranty. OSRAM SYLVANIA also announced additions to its OPTOTRONIC® Power Supply Multiple Channel Portfolio. The OPTOTRONIC 100 and 150-watt LED Power Supplies are constant current, multiple channel, dimmable solutions that deliver high efficiency and performance for a variety of hi-bay, indirect/direct, industrial, linear and recessed troffer applications, and configurable output to perfectly match the LED load and maximize performanceNow offered in 2700K, 3000K, 4000K, 5000K and 6500K color temperatures, the OSRAM LINEARlight FLEX® LED Module family offers tremendous flexibility in luminaire design. These flexible modules with self-adhesive backing allow for easy installation into straight runs or curved surfaces and can support uninterrupted power from a single feed point through the entire 19.7 ft. reel, but also support sections as short as 2 inches (6 LEDs) allowing the module to fit in the smallest of spaces with no hot spots. These LED modules mimic traditional fluorescent light sources and are ideal for backlighting, border lighting, display lighting, cove lighting, under cabinet and edge lighting in straight runs or curves with a radius as tight as 0.78in. The newest version of LINEARlight FLEX POWER FLEX LED linear module is the brightest, most efficient solution in the flexible product line providing 489-566 lumens/ft, up to 80 percent more lumens compared to previous version, 71-82 LPW and long 50,000 hours life (L70). The LINEARlight FLEX family is UL2108 listed for US and Canada Class 2 Unit. Optimally paired with OPTOTRONIC® 24V dc constant voltage power supplies, the system is covered by a 5-year warranty. Attendees at the show will also be able to see the SYLVANIA ULTRA LED PAR38 Sunset Effect and ULTRA iQ LED BR30 Intelligent lamps, demonstrating the latest in color temperature and wireless control technology. In addition, on display will be the newly released EMerge Registered OSRAM RLC Recessed 2X2 LED Troffer, Reliasys™ D15 Outdoor LED Retrofit Kit, HF2Narrow Seamless and PRO-Flex RF Wireless LED dimming driver.Also at the show, Traxon Technologies newly released Cove Light AC HO and Nano Liner Allegro AC XB are suitable for a wide range of wall washing, grazing, accent, and indirect lighting applications in architectural, hospitality, and retail environments where high efficacy and superior brightness, at a competitive price, are required.
