LEDucation achieves another record breaking year with a 20% increase in attendees

Date Announced: 27 Mar 2012 The Designers Lighting Forum of New York is proud to announce that LEDucation 6 accomplished its most successful event to date with a record breaking crowd of over 2,000 attendees. Attendees from across North American and Europe gathered at New York’s Hotel Pennsylvania on Wednesday, March 21st to learn and experience the latest development in solid state lighting in one of the industry’s most talked about, single day lighting educational expositions. With extended exhibitor hours and an expanded exhibit hall, LEDucation 6 provided attendees the opportunity to view the latest innovations, technology and products from a sold out exhibit hall of 92+ leading manufacturers from across the world. LEDucation 6 also provided an insightful and informative educational program of four CEU programs lead by some of the industry’s most prolific talents. “We had a feeling that this year’s event was going to surpass our expectations when we had over 1,200 advance online registrations,” commented Peggy Mehan, Event Co-Chair and one of the original committee members. “We are grateful for the many exhibitors and sponsors that continue to support this event year after year and are ecstatic to see our attendance continue to rise each and every year.” Dedicated to advancing the education of the lighting community, LEDucation offered attendees key updates and glimpses into the future of the industry. Educational seminars were conducted by some of the industry’s most leading authorities and gave attendees a chance to catch up on the latest advancements in solid state technology and controls. From the inception of the event in 2007, the volunteer committee aspires to bring a regional event to the Lighting industry that provided both an educational forum that gives the design, education and engineering community the opportunity to speak directly with a variety of manufacturers about the latest technologies and products and to also gain valuable educational credits with the accredited seminars. Plans for LEDucation 7 are well underway and the date and location will be announced at a later date.
