Date Announced: 12 Dec 2011 MEAN WELL announced two series of 96W to 100W single-phase (two-phase) high input voltage metal case LED power supplies~HVG-100 and HVGC-100 series. Built-in active PFC function and high waterproof / dustproof level (IP65/67), these power units equip with 180 to 480VAC wide input range and are suitable to use in general power system with single phase 230VAC input or can capture one phase from the 380~600VAC three-phase power system, such as 277VAC input in North America (capture 2ψ out of 480VAC/3ψ system) and 347VAC in Canada (capture 2ψ out of 600VAC/3ψ system). HVG(C)-100 has three options (A/B/D type) in different mechanisms and functions for your selection. In A type of HVG-100, users can adjust DC current range from 50% to 100% and output voltage ±10% by removing the rubber stopper on the cover. In A type of HVGC-100, users can adjust DC current range from 60% to 100%; B type models equip with three-in-one dimming function (0~10VDC, PWM, resistance) while D type models (optional) equip with “multiple stage timer dimming” function that can be customized by request. In addition, in order to fit in with the outdoor harsh environment, aluminum case and stainless screws are designed in these new LED power supplies.Designed with constant voltage (C.V.) plus constant current (C.C.) mode, HVG-100 series are low voltage output models (54VDC Max.) while HVGC-100 are high voltage output models (285VDC Max.). Both series are built-in two-stage PFC function, so that they can meet the harmonic current limitation per EN61000-3-2 Class C (>50% load), and they also fulfill PF>0.9 if loading over 50% (>80% load under 440VAC). In addition, they posse 4KV surge immunity (EN61000-4-5) ability which complies with the requirements of street lighting. With up-to date high efficiency topology, these two series posse up to 92% of high efficiency, so they can be cooled by free air convection from -40°C to +70°C ambient temperature and meet the high ambient temperature requirements for closed systems. Beside standard functions of protections for short circuit, over voltage, overload, and over temperature, these power units comply with global certificates per UL/CUL/FCC for HVG-100 and UL/CUL/TUV/CB/CE for HVGC-100, including UL8750 and EN61347-2-13 of lighting regulations. They are very suitable to be used in all kinds of LED indoor/ outdoor lighting applications such as LED street lighting, LED high bay lighting, LED office lighting, LED outdoor electric display, LED decorative lighting…etc..
