Date Announced: 23 Dec 2011 An experiential project on dynamic LED lighting in schools using the eldoLED DUALdrive and Emmlight’s Dynamic LED Panel was launched at the Dutch elementary school De Kap in Klazienaveen, The Netherlands. Data about the effects of dynamic LED lighting on the well-being and study performance of pupils will be gathered and documented by the school over the period of one year.After almost one month of using the LED-lighted classroom, teachers’ reactions are positively glowing: "Absolutely flicker-free and uniform lighting: very pleasant.", "Controlling the light over the controls works like a charm." and "The positive effect of this lighting on the children was clear after as little as one week: even quickly distracted kids are able to concentrate at their task at hand for 30 minutes straight."One classroom has been fitted with eight 120cm x 30cm troffers called Dynamic LED Panels, designed and manufactured by the Dutch luminaire manufacturer Emmlight, and driven and controlled by eldoLED’s DUALdrive 1060 LED drivers.
