PowerPax launches mains-driven dimmable LED drivers

Date Announced: 09 Mar 2010

Mains dimmable LED drivers are leading edge and trailing edge compatible

The PowerPax PAXDIM range of mains dimmable LED drivers are optimized for use with all good quality high powered LED products such as LUXEON, Cree, Seoul, Nichia and Osram. These units offer the latest phase control (trailing and leading edge) mains dimmable LED drivers in various wattage outputs between 11W and 40W. The LED driver operates a single channel supplying a user selectable forward current between 175ma and 1200ma. The most common models offer the user the option to select either 350ma, 500ma or 700ma constant current output.

With a comprehensive range of LED drivers and DC voltage configurations to choose from, these mains dimmable LED drivers enables each channel to contain a specific number of LEDs for maximum efficiency. All units in the range offer short circuit, over voltage and open circuit protection.

These units are ideal for all types of LED lighting products that need to operate with conventional mains dimming circuits including applications such as dichroic or halogen LED replacements and LED downlighters

These LED drivers work with a wide range of good quality mains dimmers. Those tried and tested compatible dimmer switches include Jung, Rako, Niko, Helvar, Lutron, iLight, Lightprocessor and Mode dimmer switches. Please contact the PowerPax sales team for further information
