Edison Opto strengthens its design verification services with added CAE software instruments Date Announced: 21 Jan 2010 Integrating thermal, electrical, mechanical and optical aspects of high power LEDs, Edison Opto has been offering design verification services assisting a quick and smooth adaptation of LEDs to customers’ designs. With CAE simulation software capabilities, Edison Opto can provide optimized design pointers that not only predict an accurate outcome, but also minimize the development cost. Designs can be verified in variety of characteristics including optical path, various stress modes and thermal conditions before committing to any tooling cost.
For finished products that need to be verified for its characteristics, Edison Opto also offers far-field goniometer for measuring the lighting properties in standard IES-63 format, waterproof IP testing chamber in accordance to IEC 60529 as well as precision RoHS X-ray analyzer that helps to minimize customers’ verification cost and development lead-time.
