Arrow and Magtech sign distribution agreement for North America

Date Announced: 23 Feb 2007

Las Vegas, Nevada – The North American Components (NAC) business of Arrow Electronics, Inc. (NYSE: ARW) and Magtech Industries Corporation (Magtech), a provider of power supply products, today announced that they have entered into a distribution agreement to provide original equipment and contract manufacturers with products for the development of lighting solutions.

Effective immediately, the agreement enables Arrow NAC to distribute Magtech’s products, which include light emitting diode (LED) drivers/power supplies for high-brightness, LED lighting solutions, in North America. Arrow formed a new group last year focused exclusively on the growing lighting market to support manufacturers of products containing high-brightness LEDs and to provide them with complete lighting solutions.

“With the addition of Magtech’s LED drivers/power supplies to our lighting product portfolio, our customers will benefit with a comprehensive lighting solution that meets their needs and speeds their time to market,” said Bob Sagebiel, director, Lighting, Arrow NAC.

“We’re delighted to have Arrow on board to distribute Magtech's switch-mode power supplies in North America,” said Michael Kuo, president, Magtech. “Our customers will gain access to a vast array of value-added services and technical support through Arrow's massive distribution channels.”
