Stockeryale announces Cobra linescan backlight Date Announced: 27 Sep 2005 Available in wavelengths of 395 to 740 nm, the COBRA™ Linescan Backlight incorporates StockerYale’s unique, patented chip-on-board reflective array (COBRA) technology.
This method of LED module fabrication yields extremely bright, uniform, thermally efficient illumination. LED dice are placed at the centers of miniature cup-shaped mirrors, which involve layers of carefully chosen thermally and electrically conductive materials, built right into the array substrate.
Applications for the COBRA™ Linescan Backlight include defect detection, material density measurement, film thickness measurement and the inspection of foil, paper, plastic film and non-wovens. Contact
