Welcome to LEDs Magazine’s Connected SSL & Controls newsletter for Dec. 11, 2023. As I mentioned in our most recent News & Insights weekly, the third annual LEDs Magazine BrightStar Awards program is open for submissions.

Due to concerns raised about product eligibility, we will extend the BrightStar eligibility timeframe back to Feb. 4, 2023. That lines up with when the 2023 program had closed. Products released between Feb. 4, 2023 and May 1, 2024 (we understand that launches change) will be eligible for consideration. If you complete your entry by Dec. 29, you’ll save with the Early Bird discount. The final submission deadline at the regualr rate is Jan. 26.

I also want to mention changes to our newsletters in 2024. We’ll be moving to a more streamlined format that does not include this editorial at the top. I will do my best to curate any commentary into our blog and our social media posts. These updates come from studies on audience behavior and best practices around the media industry, so I hope you’ll let us know how they are received in the new year.

Finally, we continue our focus on most popular content of 2023 with a section on the top three connectivity stories from our annual analysis. Stay tuned for our Top 20 article coming soon!
