Welcome to LEDs Magazine’s Focus On LEDs in Lighting newsletter for April 27, 2023. We are just weeks out from LightFair. Last year was my first time attending the event, and I am excited to see how the organizers arrange the 2023 program and exhibition floor activities with the venue in New York City versus Las Vegas. I’ve not yet been to the Javits Center. I’ll be checking my FitBit for the daily step count comparison. 😉

Beyond our LightFair preview, we also have articles sizing up rebate trends and an overview of how fully integrated daylight and electric illumination systems can benefit from advanced window technologies to manage indoor climate and lighting conditions. Plus we have the latest news on quarterly results at Cree LED and an unusual lighting violation story from contributing editor Mark Halper.

Also, if you have launched a standout architectural lighting solution since Jan. 1, 2022, consider entering it in the Product Innovation Awards program managed by our Architectural SSL colleagues. Learn more about the PIAs in the 2023 call for entries.

There’s plenty more for you below. Please stay in touch about content we publish and to propose contributed articles.
