Welcome to LEDs Magazine’s Focus On LEDs in Lighting newsletter for Dec. 22, 2022. We have released our annual top 20 list of most popular stories, and we continued to see headlines surrounding LED and lighting companies working against some pretty tough logistical and financial challenges. Still, bright spots and opportunities remain for the entire lighting design and supply chain the focus of this newsletter in advancing the capabilities of LED-based illumination to enhance the built environment, level energy efficiency and light quality accessibility across all society, and engage with clients and end users in how to implement better light in an environmentally responsible manner. I am confident we will see an uptick in companies and industry organizations addressing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) concerns in the coming year, as regulatory policy, industry standards, and updated practices collide to drive product development and lighting design to greater benefit.
