| Strategies in Light Europe, one of the Strategies in Light group of worldwide events for the LEDs and lighting markets, is holding its second annual conference in Milan, Italy on October 4-6.
Today started with two pre-conference workshops, one on thermal management and one on light measurement, as well as the Solid-State Lighting Investor Forum, which was organized by Berenberg Bank.
Immediately following the Investor Forum and workshops, Tim Whitaker, Editor of LEDs Magazine, kicked off the Keynote session to a standing-room-only crowd of over 300 attendees.
Dominik Wee and Arthur Jaunich of McKinsey & Company presented a positive outlook for the future of LED lighting within the global lighting market. Simon Fisher, General Manager of EMEA Indoor Luminaire Solutions of GE Lighting UK, discussed the issues of designing with LEDs and redefining the lit environment.
Last but not least, Vrinda Bhandarkar, Director of Lighting Research with PennWell's Strategies Unlimited market-research group, presented a review of the LED lighting markets, including a preliminary market forecast through 2015.
