Entries due for Next Generation Luminaires (NGL) competition
31 Aug 2009
The competition's organizers are looking for LED luminaires that answer the market’s critical concerns about product performance and quality.
The 2009 Next Generation Luminaires (NGL) SSL Design Competition—sponsored by IES, IALD and DOE—will be accepting “Intents to Submit” through September 15, 2009.

Final entries are due by November 13, 2009. Winners will be announced in February 2010.

See http://www.ngldc.org for competition details and online submission.

The competition’s goal is to promote effective LED lighting by answering the market’s critical concerns about product performance and quality, and by recognizing those LED luminaires that meet these market needs today.

Winners of the 2008 competition, including Best in Class winners GE, Journee Lighting and Winona, were announced at the 2009 Strategies in Light conference – see News.
