| ilumisys Inc., developer and producer of next-generation solid-state lighting technology, announced on behalf of its parent company Altair Engineering that a favorable ruling was received from the United States Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences relative to Patent Interference Number 105,602.
Altair’s application in interference is related to Altair’s fundamental patent for replacement of fluorescent light tubes with LED technology. The judgment ordered all claims of interfering patent number 6,860,628 to be cancelled and further established Altair as having precedent claims.
