Manager, Product Marketing - LED Products
The Manager, Product Marketing will contribute to the development and management of Leviton’s LED product line. This will include identifying new product opportunities, developing product specifications and market research. The Manager, Product Marketing will promote product line growth principally through the creative use of both existing and new ideas supported by educational background, industry experience, and contact with customers and prospects.
Location: Melville, NY
Major Functions:
- Works with customers to specify Leviton’s LED product
- Provides technical information to customers and Leviton’s sales organization
- Presents new product and market opportunities to management for evaluation
- Provides input to writers and artists on copy writing, design, layout, and implementation of promotional materials
- Participates in the development of trade show initiatives including preparation and follow-up as it relates to the assigned channels
- Maintains all web related activities for assigned product lines
- Completing other duties and projects as assigned by management
Additional Responsibilities:
- Development of Business Proposals
- Lead and facilitate cross-functional teams through all phases of the PAC process, maintain project schedules
- Manage product launches
- Recommend marketing materials and assist with their development from a technical perspective
- Assist in the development of appropriate training materials
- Represent Leviton on industry technical committees
Skills and Abilities:
- Must understand LED technology and its application
- Must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality
- Must spend sufficient time in the field to understand customer problems and identify product opportunities
- Able to communicate effectively with all areas of the company as well as externally
- Able to plan and lead both strategic and tactical business meetings
Education and Experience:
- 3+ years of LED Product related experience or Lighting Fixture Products
- EE or Business Administration Degree, MBA preferred
Travel: Approximately 30%
