Larson Electronics releases a 15-ft telescoping mini light mast equipped with a 400W LED light source

Dec. 24, 2014
Industrial lighting specialist Larson Electronics has announced the release of a 15 foot telescoping light mast equipped with a 400 watt LED light head. The LM-15-5-4S-400W-LED is a four stage light mast that provides a safe and effective way for operators to quickly deploy the mounted LED light head.
Kemp, Texas -- The LM-15-5-4S-400W-LED produced by Larson Electronics features a rotating boom that allows for 360° of rotation and a removable mast head for storing the mounted 400 watt LED light fixture when not in use. This light boom can be extended to a height of 15 feet for effective coverage and collapsed to 5 feet. The mast is elevated to its full height using an included 600 lbs. hand winch with 3/16” galvanized cable. The 360° rotation is provided by a single T-Handle. By loosening the T-Handle, operators can rotate the mast with ease in either direction. The mast can be positioned in one of four different directions and locked back in place by re-tightening the T-Handle. The mast spins freely and can typically be rotated with a single hand. Included with this tower is our GAU-LTL-400W-LED high output LED light fixture producing a combined total of approximately 52,000 lumens at 400 watts. The light head contains fifty-four Bridgelux high output LEDs producing 963 lumens each.

These light masts are typically mounted to trailers or other stable surfaces by a 15 inch by 13 inch, ¼ inch thick mounting baseplate which has been predrilled to accept six ¾ inch anchor bolts. A 36 inch wide and ¼ inch thick mounting plate is attached to the upper section of the mast which provides a strong and stable platform for lights or equipment. The light tower weighs approximately 250 pounds and can easily support and lift 100 pounds of weight. The LM series of towers are powder coated with a glossy blue finish for corrosion resistance and aesthetics.

“The LM-15-5-4S-400W-LED offers a fast and secure solution to elevate 400 watts of lighting power up to fifteen feet,” said Rob Bresnahan with Larsonelectronics.com. “The LED light is equipped with a back mount trunnion style mounting bracket that allows the light to be adjusted through 160° of vertical movement.”
