Terralux debuts Energy Star LED light engine series for OEM and retrofit wall sconces

Jan. 6, 2016
Terralux, a leader in the design and manufacture of commercial LED lighting and building control products, announces the release of a new series of energy efficient LED light engines.

SR308 and SR312 series LED light engine products are an easy-to-install LED upgrade for use in commercial wall sconces. They are a UL recognized component (UL 8750), making them suitable for use in new fixtures by OEM lighting fixture manufacturers. They are also UL certified as LED Retrofit Kits (UL 1598C) for upgrade of existing incandescent or ballasted compact fluorescent (CFL) lighting fixtures to energy efficient LED.

“These new LED light engines are extremely versatile, dependable and efficacious,” said Paul Pohl, Terralux Product Manager. “All models are UL certified for factory or field-installation, and can be mounted in any vertical or horizontal orientation. They’re suitable for use in sealed or unsealed fixtures, including outdoor listed and labeled wet location fixtures. All models have a 7-year warranty, even in non-stop, 24/7 commercial operation. They deliver up to 152 lumens per watt (lm/W), which provides more than 50% energy cost savings compared to compact fluorescent, and 80% energy cost savings compared to incandescent light sources.”

All LED light engine models are ENERGY STAR certified, as Luminaire Retrofit Kits, which qualifies them for utility rebates. Designed for use in commercial applications, they are available in five different lumen packages (850 – 2100 lm), four different correlated color temperatures (2700K, 3000K, 3500K and 4000K), and include universal 120-277V 0-10V dimming, which provides additional control and energy cost savings potential.
