Aug. 26, 2015
GREENVILLE, IL – University of North Florida Ospreys will swoop into the spotlight with their new state of the art Nevco four-sided, center-hung LED video display at the UNF Arena.

The new Nevco video scoring solution will replace a Fair Play four-sided scoreboard and will feature four sides of 6mm LED video with over 345,000 pixels per side and two mesmerizing 10mm LED video rings adding another 300,000 pixels. The center-hung LED video display will give Osprey fans and all spectators who visit UNF Arena, which seats 5,800 people for a variety of sporting events, a superior viewing and game-day experience from any seat in the house.

“We are extremely excited about our partnership with Nevco. We believe our new 6mm LED video display will make the perfect statement and will leave a lasting impression like our first conference championship and first NCAA appearance made on our fans. These new improvements at the UNF Arena will give the Ospreys Community the ultimate fan experience and put us a step ahead of our competition,” director of athletics for University of North Florida Lee Moon said.

The Nevco video scoring solution will display everything from exciting live video, up-to-date scoring information, instant replays, vibrant animations, and sponsor advertisements. The huge full color LED video display will not only enhance the game-day experience for Osprey fans, but the investment in UNF Arena continues to allow the University to host concerts, graduations, tournaments and sport events.

“WOW! What an exciting time for UNF,” said North Florida head basketball coach Matthew Driscoll. “This video board is going to take our arena and all who visit, especially our fans and alumni, to a level that they will forever remember. I hope that I’ll be able to concentrate during the game with all these amazing additions and renovations.”

The center-hung LED video display will be accompanied by 40’ of new Nevco LED Scorers Tables lining the sidelines, two Nevco model 2700 auxiliary scoreboards with electronic team names, a set of Nevco’s new Slim Shot Clocks with game clock LED Display, End of Period lights, and locker room clocks.

The scorer’s tables and video display will be controlled using Nevco’s proprietary Display Director Software that will work in conjunction with the Osprey’s existing ESPN 3 production equipment in the arena.
