Daktronics will provide new content-zoned LED display for USAFA Cadet Gymnasium

Jan. 27, 2015
BROOKINGS, S.D. – Daktronics (NASDAQ-DAKT) of Brookings, South Dakota, has partnered with the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) to provide a new LED video display inside Cadet Gymnasium in U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado. Installation is slated for late 2014 and the display will enhance the experience for USAFA fans at gymnastics events inside the venue.
The new display will measure approximately 12 feet high by 19 feet wide and employ 10 millimeter line spacing. The display features versatile content zoning which allows it to show one large image across the entire display to highlight live video and instant replays. It can also be separated into multiple zones to show any combination of scoring and statistics, graphics and animations, advertising and sponsor content, and other relevant messaging information. “We’re excited to provide this video display for USAFA athletics and gymnastics events at Cadet Gymnasium,” said Mark Johnson, Daktronics sales representative. “The opportunity to improve the experience of athletes and their supporters is something we’re proud of at Daktronics, and this installation will provide another level of entertainment that wasn’t previously available at these events. We look forward to the project’s completion and for the display to start having an immediate impact.” Daktronics LED video and messaging display technology offers a long lifetime with consistent, industry-leading performance and low power consumption, providing value and excitement for years to come.
