Chauvet Clarity 6 video wall system sets up easily with quick-install kit

June 24, 2014
SUNRISE, Fla. -- CHAUVET Professional's new Clarity 6 LED display system was designed for nightclubs, theaters, churches and other permanent installations that would like to add the impact of a big video wall -- without big costs or installation headaches. This lightweight, modular indoor video wall system features Tri-Color RGB black face SMD LEDs, a 6.25mm pixel pitch, and 1,500-nit illuminance for extraordinarily sharp contrast, bright colors and high-resolution graphics. Yet, it has an inexpensive price tag relative to touring video wall systems, and it is very energy efficient and easy to install.

With each panel measuring 39.4" x 20" (1000mm x 500mm), the Clarity 6 system makes it simple to set up large permanent video displays. Up to 12 panels can be stacked vertically using CHAUVET Professional's quick-install PVP Rig Kit (sold separately) for a total video wall height of nearly 40 feet (12 meters). Installation can also be accomplished via M12 threaded inserts that are conveniently positioned on all four corners of each panel.

Each panel also includes industry standard Neutrik® etherCON® data connectors and Neutrik® powerCON® power ins/outs. Up to 12 Clarity 6 units can be power-linked on a 20-amp circuit, keeping both initial installation costs and energy bills in check -- another factor that makes the system ideal for permanent applications.

"With the Clarity 6 system, you can have a 6-square-meter display on a 20-amp circuit. So in most cases, even in an older building, you won't have to take on the cost and headaches of making major structural or wiring renovations to install a video wall," said Anthony Chiappone, Product Manager for CHAUVET Professional. "The system is also very cost-efficient for venues to operate on a day in/day out basis. Everything about the Clarity 6 has been geared toward fixed installations -- it's perfect for clubs, restaurants, bars, theaters, concert halls, arenas, churches, conference centers or any type of establishment that wants to join one of today's hottest trends and add a permanent video wall."

Even the panels themselves were engineered to deliver upmarket performance while being budget-friendly for permanent installations. Since they were specifically constructed for non-touring applications, it was possible to eliminate certain unnecessary structural features and thereby keep costs down, explained Chiappone. "We were able to forego some of the things that would have been necessities in a product that would have to withstand the rigors of the road," he said. "That's why we are able to offer the Clarity 6 system at a relatively low price point, without sacrificing performance or premium features. Its name really has a dual meaning: 'clarity' in terms of its high resolution graphics; and 'clarity' in that there's finally a clear choice in video display walls for fixed installations."

Along with its 6.25mm pixel pitch, outstanding brightness and shadow-free color mixing, the Clarity 6 system features a 140° viewing angle and 1,080 Hz display refresh rate for exceptional video quality. Each panel contains 12,800 LEDs, which have a long running life of 50,000 hours.

Utilizing LINSN control protocol, the Clarity 6 system works extremely well with CHAUVET Professional's VIP Driver, VIP Signal Distributor, VIP Media Server Pro and VIP 5162 Signal Processor (all sold separately). Each panel weighs 23 pounds (10.4 kg) and is IP40 rated for indoor use.
