Nov. 14, 2013
Date Announced: 14 Nov 2013 Toshiba International Corporation -- Toshiba International Corporation’s LED Lighting division announced today that its TLS-DCA LED downlights and TLS-RTL roadway luminaires have been recognized by Architectural Products' Product Innovation Awards (PIA) for ingenuity in lighting design. The PIA program is the largest, most diverse and esteemed product awards program in the market. Winners were selected from a pool of almost 400 entries by a panel of 40 architects and specifiers.“We are honored to have our products recognized by the prestigious Product Innovation Awards,” said Tammy Impagliazzo, Director of Marketing for Toshiba’s LED Lighting Division. “The inclusion of our TLS-DCA downlights and TLS-RTL roadway luminaires is a testament to Toshiba’s commitment to innovation, development and excellence, and we look forward to continued leadership within the industry.”The TLS-RTL roadway luminaire comes in two sizes, the short blade RTLS and the medium blade RTLM. It features a NEMA twist-lock photocell system which provides automatic dimming capabilities and reduces energy costs by automatically adjusting light output at dusk and dawn. The RTL luminaires are designed to deliver superior optical performance compared to conventional high-intensity discharge (HID) lighting. The TLS-DCA6 and TLS-DCA8 LED downlights offer a variety of high lumen outputs (2800lm, 5500lm and 8500lm), multiple color temperatures (2700K, 3000K and 4000K) and are dimmable at 0-10v. The DCA is an ideal lighting solution for high ceiling environments, such as auditoriums, shopping malls, atriums and concourses where optimal output, energy efficiency and low maintenance are all critical.“Building on the success of last year’s program, our third edition of the awards proves commercial building manufacturers are committed to, and are working arduously toward, delivering more sustainable products, as well as products that deliver better performance, life and affordability," said Jim Crockett, Editorial Director, Architectural Products Magazine.About Toshiba International CorporationToshiba International Corporation (TIC) is a Toshiba America Inc.
