Overview:
The Webcast will focus on how on LEDs enable media integration into architecture and will be instrumental for lighting designers and SSL product developers that want to compete in the quickly accelerating world of architectural/faced projects. Inherently-controllable LEDs with dynamic color-changing capabilities can enable dynamic presentations, but also present unique challenges. The examples in the presentation will show how some such challenges have been overcome, and how LEDs can enable efficient and stunning outdoor projects. Videos of stunning internationally-recognized projects will be shown, highlighting a variety of LED products used to activate installations and engage people in the architectural environment.

Therese Lahaie managed the custom lighting design department and was regional sales manager for Translite Sonoma/ Lightolier and Morrison Lighting. In that role she combined a back¬ground in glass sculpture technology with knowledge of custom lighting to translate lighting concepts into new product designs. In her current consulting role she supports lighting designers and manufacturers in the transition to LED lighting solutions. Lahaie does market research and connects LED lighting manufactures with lighting designers. She also trains engineers on designing lighting glass and sources glass product manufacturers. Lahaie studied Fine Art at Emmanuel College and Glass Technology at Massachusetts College of Art, Boston, MA. She is a sculptor using glass, steel, motors and LED lighting, and her work is exhibited nationally.
