BluGlass (BLG) is an Australian company and is listed on the Australian Stock Exchange The company was formed to commercialise new technology used to produce the semiconductor material gallium nitride (GaN).

This represents a highly promising new technology for reducing the cost of producing high brightness (HB) light emitting diodes (LEDs) a market which is expected to grow to US$9 billion by 2011* (*Strategies Unlimited 2007).

HB LEDs have a wide range of market applications, from general lighting, to mobile phone application, signs and displays, Automotive applications, and signals.* (*Strategies Unlimited 2007).

BLG has been awarded a $5million AusIndustry Commercial Ready grant from the Australian Government in September 2007. This grant will fund BLG's continuing commercialisation of its technology.
