| Detailed Description Photon Inc. manufactures instruments that measure the spatial properties of light from virtually any light source—including LEDs—with exceptional accuracy, repeatability, and reliability. Photon instruments:
- Measure and analyze light sources and components for rapid collimation and alignment of optical systems.
- Characterize pulsed and CW beams for fast and accurate analysis of near- and far-field irradiance distribution patterns, providing laser beam and optical fiber parameters.
- Provide complete spectral response from <200nm to over 20µm, for applications in the UV, visible, near-, mid-, and far-infrared.
Far-field profilers use goniometric radiometer technology to provide real-time measurements of divergent light sources. Neither the source nor the detector moves while user obtains full 3-D hemispheric irradiance measurements with greater resolution and speed than other techniques.
The LED Profiler is a far-field profiler that generates high dynamic range light intensity profiles of LEDs using goniometric radiometer technology.
For some applications, the FireWire BeamPro CCD Camera or the USBeamPro CMOS Camera profilers are sufficient and appropriate for profiling LEDs.
Photon's scanning slit profiler, the NanoScan, is also appropriate for LED measurements for certain applications.
