Suncolor Corporation’s HTLT™ is an optical grade thermoplastic that is characterized by a high index of refraction (1.56), water-white clarity with excellent transmission, and a sustained operating temperature up to 150° C. It is a tough, impact resistant thermoplastic that can be injection molded and injection compression molded with precision detail at high production rates.

Given its high glass transition temperature and excellent thermal insulation properties, HTLT™ parts are suitable for use in solder reflow processes including lead-free solder reflow applications. HTLT™ is RoHS compliant.

The HTLT™ materials are compatible with High Index Silicone Underfills, Silicone Primers, and anti-reflective coatings. HTLT™ Thermoplastic is available in several grades and is recommended for use in photonics applications including optical quality components for LED’s, cellular camera phones, backlight units, laser diodes, and light pipes.
