Laird Technologies Thermal Products provides a full range of the industries' high performance thermal interface materials (TIM) and insulated metal substrates. The T-lam(TM) product line of insulated metal substrates or metal core PCBs provide exceptional heat dissipation with a SMT LED Package. Single and multi-layer products are available. The direct mounting of the base metal creates a best heat dissipation path available for SMT modules. Multi-layer allows for the smallest foot print when electrical traces can located on the second circuit layer. The TIM products consists of grease, PCM, Gap Filler, and insulator products. Grease and PCM products are use when thermal transfer is of highest importance but electrical isolation is not required. Gap Filler products are used to create a thermal path between the board and outside housing. Gap Filler are soft to absorb dimensional tolerance between the two surfaces. Insulator materials are used in direct mount of non isolated PCB to heat sink as well as for power suppliers that power the LED light engines.
