Sasco Holz came into being in June 2005 as a result of the merger between the two prestigious component Distributors “SASCO Semiconductor” and “Holz Elektronik”.

SASCO Semiconductor was established in 1966 as the Steward Aeronautical Supply Company and soon developed into an industry-recognized specialitst. When it became part of Arrow Electronics in 1992, the so-called “Design Driven Distributor” concept was realised, focusing on providing dedicated design support through specialist Application Engineers.

Holz Elektronik GmbH was founded in 1992 and in 1993 was already the first Distributor worldwide for Siemens AG. Following rapid growth the company became a member of the global Arrow family in 2004 as a result of the takeover of Disway AG.
